Rogers AnyPlace TV Redesign

The Opportunity
Rogers’ existing AnyPlace TV offering had fallen behind customer expectations. Three separate applications, supported by three different vendors, created a fragmented experience that was costly to maintain and lacked many of the features customers had come to expect. At the same time, delays to the next-generation IPTV platform created a need to remain competitive by improving the existing experience. Although the project began as a platform consolidation initiative, it quickly became an opportunity to simplify the customer experience and restore Rogers’ competitive position.

Discovery & Design
“The project began by understanding both the business and customer perspectives. We reviewed application downloads, customer ratings and reviews, support call data, and customer feedback to identify recurring issues. Competitive reviews of offerings such as Bell Fibe highlighted growing gaps in functionality, while customer research helped validate and prioritize the capabilities that mattered most.
The project shifted from simply consolidating platforms to redefining what the second-screen experience should become.”

The Outcome
The new AnyPlace TV experience consolidated three applications into a single platform, providing customers with one application, one login, improved reliability, and significantly enhanced functionality. The project reduced ongoing platform maintenance costs while improving customer satisfaction and application ratings. It also established a modern platform that enabled Rogers to expand the service across web, mobile, and connected TV devices, creating a foundation for future growth.
